¿Dónde duerme el capitán?
En la mayoría de los barcos hay un pequeño camarote de patrón (litera individual en proa o popa). En los barcos más pequeños duerme en el salón. Nunca usa un camarote de invitados salvo que se le invite.
¿Puedo llevar el timón?
Sí, todo lo que quieras, con el visto bueno del capitán. Te dejará gobernar, fondear e incluso atracar si te animas. La forma más fácil de aprender sin apuntarte a un curso.
¿Qué hace el capitán durante el día?
Navega, gestiona los sistemas del barco, se ocupa del papeleo de puerto y del combustible, y te explica el plan del día. Fuera de guardia, se une encantado a cenar con la tripulación si se le invita.
¿Elige el capitán el itinerario?
Lo eliges tú. El capitán ofrece opciones, tú decides. Pondrá objeciones si pides algo peligroso (por ejemplo, un día con 35 nudos), pero por lo demás la semana es tuya.
¿Puedo traer a mi propio capitán?
Sí, debe tener el equivalente al ICC + VHF y ser conocido por el armador. Envíanos su currículum.
