Sailing courses

Why charter a course week?

A course week is mixed coaching + real sailing — you cover ground (typically a full charter itinerary) while learning navigation, anchoring, docking and sail handling. You leave with a licence and a fortnight of confidence-building under your belt.

Course week questions

Asked and answered.

How long does ICC take to earn?
5 days — Sunday afternoon arrival, Saturday morning departure. Includes the practical exam on the last day.
Will I really be charterable after this?
Yes — ICC is the entry-level Mediterranean charter licence. With ICC + VHF SRC you can bareboat in Croatia, Greece, Italy, Spain and most of the Med.
How are students grouped?
Mixed nationalities, 25-65 age range, typically mixed skill (complete beginner to wanting to convert experience to paper). Some operators run dedicated single weeks.
What's the typical course week look like?
Saturday afternoon arrive + introductory talk. Sunday-Friday: 4-6 hours theory + 6-8 hours practical sailing each day. Real itinerary — you cover ~150 nm of cruising ground. Final exam Friday.
