Bareboat Charter

Sailing it yourself — licences, navigation and anchorages

Bareboat means you skipper. You'll need a recognised licence (ICC + VHF, RYA Day Skipper or ASA 104+) and a confident hand aboard — if no one on the crew is qualified, take the same yacht skippered and our captain drives.

We brief you on the local navigation: the channels and headlands that funnel the wind, where to anchor versus take a mooring, provisioning ports, and the best first-timer route versus the longer run for experienced crews.

Turkey questions

Asked and answered.

Do I need a licence to bareboat?
Yes — ICC + VHF, RYA Day Skipper, or ASA 104+. If no one on your crew is licensed, book the same yacht skippered and our captain drives.
When is the best time to sail Turkey?
The main season runs late spring to early autumn, with the most settled weather in high summer. Ask us for the month that best fits your group and budget.
What's included in the price?
We quote all-in for the week. The only things charged separately are damages and consumption (e.g. fuel) — no surprise costs.
