Charters worth
telling stories about.
A boutique yacht-charter agency, run by sailors, for sailors.
Mediterranean · Caribbean · South-east Asia. Vetted boats only, transparent pricing, 24/7 on-charter support.
The short version
We are sailors first, an agency second.
Faraway Yachting started for one reason. The founder had spent twenty years on the water — crewing, skippering, running boats — and kept watching guests arrive on yachts that should never have been chartered in the first place. Tired chartplotters. Sail covers that hadn't moved in a season. Owners who hadn't sailed the boat themselves in years.
There was always a better boat one marina over. A captain who actually knew the bay. A more honest price. Nobody was joining those dots for the guest. So we started doing it ourselves — quietly, one charter at a time, mostly by word of mouth.
Today we plan charters across the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and South-east Asia. We are small on purpose. Every enquiry is answered by someone who has been on the boat in the bay you're asking about — not a junior in a call centre with a Google map.

What we commit to
Four promises, every charter.
These are non-negotiable. If a boat or operator falls short of one of them, we will not put you on it — even if you ask.
Vetted operators only
Every operator is checked onsite, on the water, and across all major review platforms. The list of boats we will charter is shorter than the list we will not.
Transparent pricing
We quote the final number, in writing, with every line item visible. The only extras are damages and consumption (where excluded). No "marina taxes" surprises at handover.
24/7 on-charter support
You charter with us, you get our personal number. Bad weather window, broken winch at anchor, restaurant recommendation in Sivota — one message away, day or night.
Bareboat or fully crewed
Take the helm yourself, or step aboard a fully crewed yacht where every meal is plated for you. We plan both with the same care.
Where we sail
Three oceans, one phone number.
We focus on cruising grounds we know personally — and stay out of the ones we do not.
Signature boats
Three yachts we charter again and again.
Out of the hundreds in our network, these three are the ones we recommend most often — for very different reasons.
In their words
The reviews that keep us small.
We optimise for repeat charters and quiet referrals, not Trustpilot velocity. These are guests we still hear from a year later.
We told them we wanted 'quiet anchorages, good food, no marina nights' and got exactly that. The shortlist was three boats, the right one was obvious within ten minutes.
Booked in March for a July charter in the BVI. When a hurricane forecast wobbled the dates, they re-routed us to the Grenadines without losing a deposit. Different team, different planet.
The operator handover was the slickest I have seen in fifteen years of chartering. No surprise extras, no defects argument, no deposit dance.

How we work
Four steps, no friction.
Most enquiries arrive on WhatsApp. A sentence or two — a region, a rough week, a number of people. That is enough to start.
From there we follow the same shape every time. It is not a sales funnel; it is just how we keep the work honest.
- 1. Brief. You tell us roughly where, when, how many, and what kind of trip you want. Skipper yourself, or step aboard a fully crewed yacht? Lots of sailing, or lots of anchoring? Kids on board, or not?
- 2. Shortlist. Within 24 hours, we send three to five boats we would book ourselves — with the trade-offs of each spelled out. No catalogue dumps.
- 3. Introduction. When you choose, we introduce you to the operator directly, hold the boat, and shepherd the paperwork. The contract is between you and them; we stay in the loop on every message.
- 4. On-charter concierge. From the moment you board, our personal number is yours. Restaurant bookings, route advice, a mechanic at 11pm — same response time as during planning.

Why not you?
New sailors, beginners or seasoned skippers — tell me when, where, and how many. I send three real options the same day. No spam, no fluff, no commitment.
